RefWorks is a web-based bibliography manager that makes it easy to import references to articles, books, web pages and other types of sources from online databases.
RefWorks is licensed by the University of Cincinnati and is available at no cost to all students, faculty and staff.

RefWorks Tutorial Series
This tutorial series is not meant to teach you RefWorks in its entirety. If you would like more information about RefWorks and how to use it, please attend one of the monthly RefWorks classes taught by AIT&L. Class times and listings can be found at http://aitl.uc.edu/classes.
Click on any of the modules below to view that specific tutorial. If you are already familiar with RefWorks, you may want to skip over Modules 1, 2, and 7.
To open your personal RefWorks account, connect to RefWorks at www.refworks.com/refworks from any on-campus IP authenticated PC. Once connected to RefWorks, proceed with the following steps to set up your account:
1. Select “Sign up for an Individual Account”
2. Fill in all the User Information boxes. (Create a username and a password without any spaces,
dashes, or punctuation marks.)
3. Click on the [Register] button to confirm your new account.
4. RefWorks will immediately send you confirmation of your account registration via email.
Off-campus — All persons using a non-U.C. Internet Service Provider (ISP)
2. At the Proxy screen, enter your last name and UCID M number and then click on [GO]. This will take you to the Univ. of Cincinnati RefWorks login screen.
3. Continue with Steps 1 - 4 above.
